The Arts Connection is a monthly newsletter published by the Dawson Creek Art Gallery detailing all the news and events of the local Dawson Creek arts community.
The Dawson Creek Art Gallery will be celebrating summer with its new exhibit “In the Summertime” featuring the work from the members of the South Peace Art Society. This annual exhibit showcases local artists working in a variety of media to create a challenging and stimulating show. Pottery, painting, photographyand three dimensional work are just a sampling of what will be on display June 7th to August 8th. The Art Gallery is open 9am to 5pm, seven days a week throughout June, July and August. Don’t miss this exhibit.

Dawson Creek will be hosting its 7th annual Peace Country Summer School of the Arts throughout July and August. The Dawson Creek Art Gallery and the Kiwanis Arts Centre have partnered to offer a wide variety of visual, performing, general interest classes, and workshops for all ages.
Robert
Guest, who is renowned for his stylized panorama paintings, has captured each of the 21 vistas incorporated in the passport program. These paintings, along with photographic images of participants climbing the peaks will be included in the exhibit.

Summer is a great time to be a “Tourist in your own Town”. Take this opportunity to visit local attractions and don’t forget to bring your summer guests and give them a taste of Dawson Creek.
This historic village portrays a theme of Dawson Creek before the Alaska Highway construction period. It will transport you to the time when our community was on the edge of the frontier.
Alaska Highway House is Dawson Creeks newest attraction and a great educational opportunity for local residents to learn about the history of Dawson Creek and the impact that the building of the highway had on our community in 1942.

This summer’s performance of A Chorus Line is directed and produced by Adam Da Ros, with choreography by Rylee Laveck. There will be 7 performances, August 19th-25th at KPAC.

On July 25th, Members of the Dawson Creek Horticulture Society invite you to the Annual Tea and Tour from 10am to 4pm. Enjoy the beauty and individuality of private gardens in our area.
